Hershey Violins Goes Santa Cruz
Mechanicsburg Pa: Hershey Violins of Mechanicsburg announced today that the Santa Cruz Guitar Company line of guitars has joined their fine line of quality hand-crafted violins, violas and cellos.
Scott Hershey, violin maker/shop owner and Richard Hoover of Santa Cruz Guitars met in the Santa Cruz, California facility recently to discuss the value of combining the family of bowed instruments with a quality line of hand-made guitars under one roof.
Kevin Neidig, local guitar teacher and professional musician takes a Santa Cruz Guitar for a test drive at the Hershey Violin Shop. “These guitars blew me away, what great sounding instruments”. Kevin has won four, first place awards in the guitar competition at the Deer Creek Fiddlers Convention in Westminster Maryland.
“I have been searching for a quality guitar maker for some time and found the Santa Cruz brand to be a perfect fit for our customer base and business model,” Hershey said. “There are many mass-produced guitars on the market but their tone, playability and consistency are not dependable.
